Aerostar/Superstar 700
This VA based Aerostar client chose to use a sharply contrasting
black split base with simple elegant gold stripes, giving his aircraft a
tasteful, executive appearance. The tail lends a bit more pizzazz
to the scheme, balancing the conservative fuselage design.
Dear Craig,
Please accept my heart-felt thanks for the wonderful job you did on
the
paint scheme for my Aerostar.
As I told you when we began this project, Iım a designer by trade -
my
company develops and implements designs for newspapers such as the
St. Louis
Post-Dispatch, The Hartford Courant and the Portland Press-Herald -
so I was
intrigued with the notion of being the client rather than the
designer on a
project. I wasnıt sure whether my experience with the design
process would
serve as a help or hindrance to you.
But you never disappointed me. I was impressed with your good
judgment and
expertise, your quick response to all my concerns and your
willingness to
pursue details to the nth degree.
I tell my clients that good design is a good investment. It
represents a
small portion of any budget but has a greater dollar-for-dollar
effect on
the outcome of any project.
Painting my airplane will cost between $15,000 and $20,000. Your fee
represents a small portion of the total cost but your work added
immeasurably to the value of my aircraft.
Iıd recommend you to anyone considering new paint for their
aircraft,
regardless of the size of the plane or their budget for paint.
