Interior - Door Preparation

The doors are removed from the aircraft and are stripped to their frame. This is often a good time to replace the windows as well, which can be accomplished by your interior shop. In this case, the windows were installed by the paint shop, as the aircraft was painted prior to the interior work.

The doors are inspected. The functionality of the latches are inspected and adjusted or repaired. The frames are cleaned. The frames are shown here in the final sanding in preparation for painting the door edges. Shown are the cockpit door and the rear baggage door.
